Pink sapphire and ruby are the same mineral separated by a line the trade draws on saturation alone; below a certain depth of red, corundum is called pink sapphire. Lorene uses that pink with diamond. At 9 on Mohs it takes daily wear without trouble; its colour comes from traces of chromium, the same element that makes ruby red. Heating is usual and disclosed. Designed in-house, handcrafted in our own workshop, assessed by our FGAA gemmologist.
