Working mine to market — our own Ceylon gem fields, our own cutting wheels, our own gemmologist — means a bracelet is priced on its stones, not on the hands it passed through. Treatment is stated in writing, independent laboratory reports are available on request, and re-authentication is free for life.
A sapphire tennis bracelet generally starts near AUD 3,000 for a slender line of small calibrated stones in 9ct or 14ct gold, sits around AUD 6,000 to 15,000 for a well-matched mid-weight line, and rises past AUD 25,000 for larger unheated Ceylon sapphires. Total carat weight, colour consistency along the line, treatment status and metal choice drive the difference.
Measure your wrist snugly with a tape or strip of paper, then add roughly 1.5 to 2 centimetres for movement. Most women's tennis bracelets finish between 17 and 19 centimetres, men's between 20 and 22. The bracelet should rotate freely on the wrist but not slip over the hand. We size each piece to your measurement before the final links are closed.
Usually, yes. Most calibrated sapphires used in bracelet lines are heat treated — a stable, permanent process that is standard across the trade and entirely acceptable when disclosed. Unheated stones matched closely enough to fill a whole line are rare and carry a real premium. Emeralds are nearly always oiled or resin-filled. We state the treatment of every stone in writing.
Sapphire and ruby are corundum at Mohs 9 and handle daily wear well; emerald is beryl at Mohs 7.5 to 8 and brittle because of its inclusions, so it suits occasional wear. Choose a line with a safety catch as well as a box clasp, and have the prongs and clasp checked once a year. Most stones are lost to a worn setting, not a broken gem.
