Grossular garnet, coloured by vanadium and chromium, is sold under the name tsavorite — East African in origin and scarcer in fine sizes than most buyers expect. Almost none of it is treated, which is unusual among green gems. At 6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale it asks more care than diamond does. Designed by Ministry of Gems, handcrafted in our own workshop, and assessed in Sydney by our FGAA-qualified gemmologist.
