Ring Size Guide

Every ring we make is produced to order in your size, in half sizes from F to Z +6. Australian and UK sizes are letters; US sizes are numbers; jewellers measure the inside circumference in millimetres. Here is how they line up, and how to measure without a sizer.

Figures are the inside circumference and inside diameter of the sizing set our workshop makes to, given to 0.01 mm; US equivalents are approximate and half sizes sit a quarter US size above the row before. Published charts differ by up to half a size, so when in doubt measure a ring that already fits and we will confirm the size with you before we cast.

How to find your size at home

From a ring you already wear on that finger. Lay it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter in millimetres, edge to edge across the widest point, then read the table. This is the most reliable method.

From your finger. Wrap a strip of paper snugly where the ring will sit, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres: that is the circumference. Measure at the end of the day, when hands are warmest, and make sure the ring will pass over the knuckle.

Wide bands run smaller. A band over 6 mm wide usually needs a half size up.

Men's rings

The Australian men's average is size T, a 19.5 mm inside diameter; sizes T, U and V together account for more than half of the men's rings sold in Australia. Men over about 185 cm usually sit at U or above, and under 175 cm at R to S, but hands vary far more than height, so measure rather than guess.

Three rules for a man's ring

Order half a size up for a band 8 mm or wider, because a wide band sits tighter than a narrow one. Fit a signet snug, so the head does not turn on the finger. Choose a comfort-fit interior for daily wear.

Every men's ring we make can be resized once, free, within ninety days, because it is solid gold. Tungsten and titanium rings cannot be resized at all, which is worth knowing before you buy one anywhere.

Choose your size from the Size menu on any ring when you order; every ring made in our workshop is sized to you before it leaves, and we confirm the size at consultation.
