Give a piece a second life
Most jewellery boxes hold something that is loved but never worn: an inherited ring in a setting from another era, an engagement ring that no longer fits the hand or the life, a pendant with a beautiful stone in a tired mount. Remodelling takes what matters, the stone, the metal, the meaning, and gives it a design you will reach for every day.
Every remodel begins with a consultation, in person at our Sydney showroom or by video, where our FGAA-qualified gemmologist assesses your existing stones and metal in hand and we talk through what the piece could become.
What we remake
- Engagement rings, re-set into a new mount, resized for a new hand, or redesigned entirely around the original stone.
- Heirloom and inherited jewellery, updated with respect for its history: the stones stay, the design moves on.
- Several pieces into one, combining stones from different items into a single new ring, pendant or pair of earrings.
- Worn, damaged or outdated pieces, rebuilt so they are sound and wearable again.
- Adding to what you have, pairing your stone with a natural sapphire, ruby or opal from our own collection.
Your metal, credited
The gold or platinum in your existing piece is not wasted. We assess it in hand and credit its value against the cost of the new piece, which is why remodelling is often far better value than buying new, and why the finished piece still carries something of the original. The credit is confirmed at your consultation.
How a remodel unfolds
- Consultation. Bring the piece to our Sydney showroom or show it to us by video. We listen to what you want to keep and what you want to change.
- Assessment. Our FGAA-qualified gemmologist examines every stone, and the metal is weighed and assessed for its credit. We tell you plainly what you have.
- Design. We develop the new design with you and prepare a CAD rendering for approval before anything is made. Timing is agreed at this stage.
- Making. The piece is made in our Sydney workshop, with your stones set by hand.
- Yours again. The finished piece comes with free lifetime re-authentication, and an independent valuation certificate is available on request for insurance.

Can you remodel jewellery I already own?
Yes. Remodelling and remaking existing jewellery is a core part of what we do: resetting a stone into a new mount, redesigning an inherited ring, combining several pieces into one, or rebuilding a worn or damaged piece. What happens to the gold or platinum in my old piece?
Your existing precious metal is assessed and credited against the cost of the new piece, which is one of the reasons remodelling is often far better value than starting from nothing. We confirm the credit at your consultation, once the metal has been assessed in hand.
Can you reuse the stones from my existing jewellery?
In most cases, yes. Our FGAA-qualified gemmologist examines every stone before it is reset, so you know exactly what you have. Where a stone is worn, chipped or unsuitable for the new design, we say so plainly and talk through the options, including pairing it with a natural stone from our own collection.
Do you remodel engagement rings and heirloom pieces?
Yes. Engagement rings and inherited heirloom pieces are the most common remodels we undertake. The aim is always to keep what matters, the stone, the history, the metal, and give it a design you will actually wear.
How long does a remodel take?
It depends on the design and on whether new stones are involved. We map out the timeline with you at consultation, before any work begins, and keep you informed at each stage: assessment, design approval, and making.
