Sizeable tsavorite is genuinely hard to come by. The geology that made it left most crystals small and fractured, so clean material climbs in scarcity far more steeply with size than it does in most coloured stones. Colour runs from bright grass through to a deep chrome green. Since the variety is untreated as a rule, a stone stands on its own merits — which is what our FGAA gemmologist is assessing before the ring is handcrafted in our workshop.
