No two opals repeat: the pattern of colour is fixed inside the stone when it forms, and it shifts as your hand moves. A dark body tone makes those flashes carry further across a room. Opal's 5.5 to 6.5 hardness and water content mean it dislikes ultrasonic cleaners, steam and dry heat — warm soapy water and a soft cloth is the whole routine. Designed in-house and handcrafted in our own workshop, with the stone assessed by our FGAA gemmologist.
