Worn on the outside of a coat or lapel, a brooch is read from across a room rather than up close — and sapphire holds saturated colour at that distance. At 9 on the Mohs scale the species also tolerates being pinned and unpinned through wool, tweed and silk without fretting. Sapphires are commonly heated, and we disclose it. Floral in character, designed in-house and handcrafted by our own jewellers.
