Earrings and pendants need no ring size. If a ring is the wish, our ring size guide and a size confirmation on order remove the guesswork.

Common questions

Birthstone gifts, answered.

What is my birthstone?

January garnet, February amethyst, March aquamarine, April diamond, May emerald, June pearl, moonstone or alexandrite, July ruby, August peridot or spinel, September sapphire, October opal or tourmaline, November topaz or citrine, December tanzanite, turquoise or zircon. This is the modern list as GIA and the American Gem Society publish it, which the Australian trade follows.

Which birthstone gifts need no ring size?

Earrings and pendants. Both ship without a sizing gamble, and every month in the collection has at least one. If a ring is the wish, our ring size guide and a size confirmation on order remove the guesswork, and made-to-order rings are cast to the finger.

How quickly can a birthstone gift arrive?

In-stock pieces, most of the Australian opal and several diamond rings, dispatch within one to two business days, free, insured and tracked within Australia. Made-to-order pieces are handcrafted in our own workshop, most within two to four weeks, with the timeline confirmed in writing before anything is cast.

Can I give the stone rather than a finished piece?

Yes, and it is one of the best gifts we know. A loose stone arrives with its Digital Gemstone Passport, and the recipient designs the piece with us afterwards, at our Pitt Street workshop and showroom in Sydney or by video. Loose Australian sapphires begin under A$1,000.

What if you do not hold their birthstone right now?

We source it. Moonstone, alexandrite, zircon, spinel and peridot all come through the house's own Ceylon and Australian trade network; tell us the stone, size and budget and we assess in-house and quote in writing, usually within a week. A gift card lets the recipient choose with us.

Are all your birthstones natural?

Every gemstone we sell is 100% natural and earth-mined, assessed in-house by our FGAA-qualified gemmologist, with treatment disclosed on the listing; pearls are natural organic gems, cultured and stated as such. We do not sell synthetic, laboratory-grown or man-made stones.

Can I return a birthstone gift?

Ready-made pieces can be returned within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in their original packaging. Bespoke commissions and personalised pieces made to your design cannot be returned, which is why we confirm every detail in writing first.
