Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, coloured by traces of iron and natural irradiation rather than by any dye. At 7 on the Mohs scale, with no cleavage to split along, it is one of the more forgiving stones for a ring worn every day. Strong sunlight over years can pale the colour, so store it out of the light. Designed by Ministry of Gems and handcrafted in our own workshop.
