Two gems with opposite temperaments share this pair. Diamond sits at 10 on the Mohs scale, the hardest natural material; opal sits between 5.5 and 6.5 and is hydrated silica rather than a crystal. That difference dictates the care: clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush, and keep the piece away from ultrasonic tanks and steam, which the diamonds tolerate and the opal does not. Designed and handcrafted in our own workshop.
