Pale ground changes how the display reads: in white opal the flashes sit against a milky body rather than against shadow, so the effect is softer and more pastel than in dark material. Opal is the softest gem we work with at 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, so a ring in it wants habits — off for gardening, sport and washing up, and never an ultrasonic cleaner. Designed by Ministry of Gems and handcrafted in our own workshop.
